Itinerary

Full program

09:30 am scheduled departure from the port of Lipari Marina Corta to carry out the tour of Lipari and Salina (show up for boarding at least 30 minutes before departure).
While sailing, you will coast the Monterosa, the bay of Canneto and the White Beaches, considered the most beautiful on the island, owe their name to the color of the seabed characterized by the presence of pumice sediments that have deposited over the years .
Later, you can admire the small village of Acquacalda while the island of Salina will begin to peep out on the horizon, the second largest island of the Aeolian archipelago.
This is considered the "garden of the Aeolian Islands", as it is the most fertile island, where the precious grapes from which Malvasia and the famous capers of Salina are grown, exported all over the world.
Starting along the Salina from Capo Faro, you can admire the small tower and the perpendicular rock walls, characterized by various stratifications testifying to the various geological stages.
Continuing, we will meet the small village of Malfa and the Perciato, a particular natural arch of lava rock on the sea. Later we will see the beautiful beach of Pollara, the place where the film "Il Postino" was shot, with Massimo Troisi and where it is possible to admire the house where the shooting was made.
The next stop will be Rinella and then Lingua, a small fishing village where there is a salty lake from which salt was extracted in the past, which gives the island its name.
We will continue towards Santa Marina, where we will stop for an independent visit of the island.
The center of Santa Marina stands on the slopes of the Fossa dei Felci, also known as the "Roof of the Aeolian Islands", a huge crater covered with dense vegetation.
Santa Marina represents the most lively point of the whole island, because it is full of shops for your shopping and characteristic places to taste the island specialties.
During your stay, we recommend a visit to the eighteenth-century church of Santa Marina, which overlooks the square of the port, characteristic for its bell towers and the recently restored majolica pavement and of the historic center of Santa Marina and its characteristic and picturesque alleys.
On the way back, it will be possible to admire the most beautiful caves of the island of Lipari and the beach of Vinci, in front of the Faraglioni.
