Overview

Have you always wanted to walk on the slopes of a volcano? Are you a lover of trekking and adventure? This excursion to Mount Etna is just what you need! Beautiful landscapes and unspoilt nature await you.

Etna is the largest active volcano in Europe, rising just over 3300 metres. Over the centuries, this natural giant has changed – and continues to change – the surrounding landscape with its continuous eruptions, transforming the typical Mediterranean environment into a place with a lunar landscape.

The excursion will begin in the morning. Participants will meet at the meeting point stated upon booking. Departures are available from Milazzo, Portorosa, Falcone and Capo D’Orlando. The time of departure depends on the city.

An experienced tour guide will accompany and support you throughout the tour.

Once you leave, you will reach the southern slope of Etna at an altitude of 2,000 metres at the Rifugio Sapienza. Here you can walk along the Monti Silvestri, craters formed in the late 19th century following a powerful eruption. Let your gaze wander as you admire the volcanic landscape and the Gulf of Catania, which you can see in the distance.

The more adventurous will have the opportunity to continue climbing Mount Etna, ascending to an altitude of 3,000 m. With the purchase of an additional ticket, you can ascend by cable car or, accompanied by a mountain guide, by jeep for a tour of about 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Free time for lunch.

After recharging your batteries and taking one last walk through this magical place, you will re-board the bus to return to your city of departure.

Return expected around 5.30 pm.
