Panarea and Stromboli Tour

The boat tour of Panarea and Stromboli departing from the port of Salina is perfect for admiring all the islets surrounding these two pearls of the Aeolian archipelago.

Departing from the port of Santa Marina di Salina* between 12.00 p.m. and 2 p.m. to reach the island of Panarea, you will cruise along the bay of Cala Junco, above which stands the prehistoric village of Punta Milazzese, and have the opportunity to dive into its crystal-clear waters. Afterwards, you will disembark at the port of Panarea to visit the island on your own. Stroll through its narrow streets lined with white houses adorned with beautiful bougainvillea, in perfect Aeolian style. The panoramic boat tour will continue between the islets of Dattilo and Lisca Bianca, where you can admire the underwater eruptions.

What to see on Panarea Island

• The prehistoric village of Punta Milazzese dates back to the Middle Bronze Age (1500-1300 BC). It can be reached on foot in about 45 minutes or by Panarea’s typical electric taxis.
• Cala Zimmari, a secluded bay nestled among the rocks. With its crystal-clear waters and characteristic red sand, this corner of paradise will provide you with moments of absolute relaxation and serenity.
• Cala Junco is one of the most beautiful inlets in the Aeolian archipelago. Here, you will feel as if you are suspended between sky and sea, surrounded by rocks that give it a peculiar U-shape.

In the afternoon you will leave Panarea to sail to Stromboli. During the navigation, you will admire the imposing islet of Basiluzzo. Here, at the captain’s discretion and weather and sea conditions permitting, it will be possible to dive from the boat. You will then continue on to Strombolicchio, an islet on which stands a lighthouse that was once used for navigation. When you arrive at the port of Stromboli, you can disembark for an independent tour of the island.

What to see on Stromboli Island

• Forgia Vecchia beach is a small bay with crystal-clear waters and a relaxing environment.
• Ficogrande beach is an equipped beach ideal for families.
• Church of San Vincenzo, from whose square you can admire a beautiful panoramic view.

The tour of Panarea and Stromboli will end at sunset when the boat passes under the Sciara del Fuoco to let you witness from the sea the evocative spectacle of the eruptions that this ever-active volcano gives us.

Return to the port of Santa Marina di Lipari is scheduled for around 22:00.

• Please arrive at the embarkation point at least 30 minutes before departure. Those who do not arrive at the indicated time will be unable to use the service and will not be entitled to a refund.
• Stopovers on the islands last approximately two hours to allow autonomous island visits.
• Departure from the port of Salina between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. and return at approximately 10 p.m. *Any changes to the port of departure will be communicated in advance.
• Reservations are required at least two days before the service.
• Pets are not allowed on board.

WARNING: All stopovers are subject to any bylaws issued by the municipality of Lipari in force at the time of the trip and the captain’s decisions based on weather and sea conditions. Departure times may be subject to change.

WARNING: In the event of a Red Zone in Stromboli and the resulting ban on landing on the island, the excursion will be adjusted as follows: there will be a longer stop in Panarea, followed by a sea tour of Stromboli to view “Strombolicchio” and the “Sciara del Fuoco” without landing on the island.
