Transfer Catania Airport > Lipari

By purchasing our package, you will benefit from a shuttle service that connects Catania Fontanarossa Airport and the port of Lipari, and vice versa (click here for the return trip).

Passengers are transferred by shuttle, minibuses, private coaches and hydrofoil.

The Catania Airport > Lipari connection by Clarissa Viaggi is a collective transfer service. The round trip from Catania Airport to the port of Lipari operates every day from Monday to Sunday, including public holidays, and is available from April to late September.

In the Spring/Summer season (1 April – 30 September), the package includes the transfer from Catania Fontanarossa Airport to the port of Milazzo, with pre-arranged timetables and meeting points with the driver, and a hydrofoil ride from Milazzo to Lipari.

The Catania Airport > Port of Milazzo shuttle bus is a quick transfer service. Our vehicles follow the motorway route, with a journey time in regular traffic of approximately 2 hours. The Milazzo-Lipari hydrofoil makes the crossing in about 1h20.

Catania Fontanarossa Airport is the closest airport to Milazzo, where you can board to reach the Aeolian Islands. There is a large influx in the summer, so we recommend booking well in advance to take advantage of the transfer service.

Passengers arriving by plane at Catania Fontanarossa Airport with destination the Aeolian Islands are recommended to choose daytime flights arriving at Catania Airport during the hours 9 a.m./5 p.m., as the Liberty Lines hydrofoil service makes the last run by 7.30 p.m. These schedules allow you to take advantage of Clarissa Viaggi’s transfer service from Catania Airport to Lipari.

Driver-Passenger meeting point

> Catania Airport: will be communicated after payment.

> Port of Milazzo: in front of “Hydrofoil Terminal”.

The driver will display a YELLOW sign.

Upon arrival at the meeting point, the driver will assist the passenger in arranging luggage onto the vehicle designated for the transfer. Once all passengers have occupied their assigned seats, the driver will start the journey at the scheduled time. Those not present at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time cannot benefit from the transfer. They will not be entitled to any reimbursement of the sum paid. The passenger can travel on the next ride, subject to availability, paying the transfer cost directly to the driver.

Booking procedure

Reservations must be received by Clarissa Viaggi at least 48 hours in advance of the departure time by e-mail or fax. The reservation should include name, day and time of service, number of passengers, details of the hydrofoil with the island of departure and estimated arrival, and telephone number.

Once the reservation confirmation has been received, the passenger shall pay by credit card, bank transfer, PayPal, or Postepay. Then please send a copy of the payment to Clarissa Viaggi by e-mail or fax and wait for the confirmation of the service.
NOTE: Always use the same e-mail address.

Keep your mobile phone switched on immediately after disembarking (plane and/or hydrofoil).

Rules and conditions for purchasing the transfer service:

  1. Any cancellations must be received by e-mail at least 3 days before the services. The passenger will be entitled to a refund of 70% if communicated within 3 days before. Otherwise, the passenger will not be entitled to any refund and will forfeit the amount paid.
  2. If there are any delays in arriving at the meeting point with the driver, the passenger shall not be entitled to any reimbursement of the amount paid.
  3. HARD-AND-FAST RULE FOR THE PASSENGER: THE SHUTTLE CANNOT WAIT BEYOND THE SCHEDULED TIME!

> Be at the departure point 30 minutes beforehand.
